Born in Italy, Simona is a passionate, charismatic, soulful singer and vocal coach. Simona demonstrated her creative abilities and artistic talent from her early childhood. She always loved the art of painting and drawing and at the age of 8 she joined a little voices choir, wrote her first poems and started ballet school.

The beginning in Italy

Simona started her professional career as a singer at the age of 18 by taking part in various music talent contests. By 2001 she was touring Sicily as a resident wedding and corporate event singer, performing as part of a musical theatre inspired vocal duet and supporting a variety of acoustic bands.

Simona began her professional training in 2003 at the Brass Group School of Jazz Music in Palermo with leading teacher Flora Faja and went on to complete her classical training with the Italian Opera Singer Alessia Sparacio.

London's adventure

In 2009, driven by the will to explore new musical horizons, Simona moved to London. Here, in the “European Capital of Music", Simona found the perfect environment to refine her vocal skills and had the privilege of following in the footsteps of her idols George Michael, Barbra Streisand and Christina Aguilera by performing at Wembley Arena and the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. In London Simona trained at Vox Box Vocal Arts in Camden Town with Speech Level Singing vocal coaches Leon Berrange and Edward Staunton.

Simona was so impressed by the impact of the SLS technique on her voice that in 2012 she decided to join the SLS Teacher Program. She trained with some of the world’s best singing teachers including Greg Enriquez (Hole, Celebrity Skin Tour - Courtney Love; Creations du Dragon -Celine Dion) Spencer Welsh, Fiona McDougal (BBC:‘The Voice UK’ and Universal Records) and Maestro Seth Riggs in person (Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, and many more).

In 2015 she joins the Institute for Vocal Advancement as a Certified Instructor. Founded and directed by the past SLS Master Teachers, this new organization is built on the same “Italian Belcanto” values and approach but with a more scientific vision.

Simona takes inspiration from: Barbra Streisand, Cindy Lauper, Norah Jones, Elisa Toffoli, Annie Lennox , Idina Menzel and Adele. When not teaching Simona enjoys going to the theatre (especially Musical Theatre) baking and travelling. Along with the talent for music Simona is really passionate about foreign languages and speaks fluent Italian, English, French and Spanish.
